Deviating from the norm takes courage, skill and a lot of belief. DJ Zinc has all three in abundance, as he ditches his usual sound for a set consisting purely of house. The drum ‘n bass legend has teamed up with UK Garage diva Ms Dynamite to produce the hottest house-electro collaboration of the year, with ‘Wile Out’ fusing a catchy bouncing bass line over a rocking house beat and Ms Dynamite’s much-loved UK sound. Released on February 8th on Bingo Bass records, this night is one of the first opportunities after the track release to see Zinc live, so make sure you don’t miss out.
Helping him out is the godfather of UK garage, MJ Cole, one of the most renowned faces in the scene, delivering tight 2-step grooves and floor-quaking basslines. With acts queuing up to get his remix treatment and a Mercury-nominated album, Cole wraps you up in kick ass beats, sophisticated instrumentation and production which is, simply, a cut above the rest. Expect heavy basslines and beats with some quality vocals added in for good measure. Who says you can’t have it all?
All this fun and excitement is set in the wonderfully decadent walls of The Westbury, where a newly-revitalised drinks menu and shabby-chic décor greet guests. Plush leather sofas and varnished wooden floors evoke the exclusivity of a West End club, while retaining a friendly atmosphere and even friendlier drinks prices.
